Latvia Offers Free Schengen Visas for Belarusians

The Embassy of Latvia in Belarus and airBaltic, is a state–owned Latvian airline, announced a special offer for Belarusian visitors. According to this offer, from November 10, 2016 to January 15, 2017, tourists from Belarus may get a free Schengen visa if they travel to Riga on airBaltic planes.

Belarusian citizens can apply for the free visa at the Embassy of Latvia in Belarus or at the official visa center Pony Express. In the latter case, applicants must pay a service fee of 18.36 or 20.40 euro.

While applying for the visa, Belarusians must submit a document confirming a hotel reservation for a minimum of two nights. The offer is valid only for the airBaltic route Minsk–Riga–Minsk, flights ВТ413 and ВТ412. The flights are carried out on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays.

Depending on the date, return tickets cost from 152 to 289 euros.

Embassy representatives highlight that all tourists who apply for the free visa should go to Latvia. If they cancel the hotel reservation, their visas may be annulled. The Embassy of Latvia in Belarus should be notified about all changes in reservations.

The offer is a part of the days of Latvian culture in Belarus. For this particular occasion, big Belarusian supermarkets will present Latvian goods at special corners.
