Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso in Minsk

Dali and Picasso masterpieces exhibited in Minsk, BelarusFrom April 28 to June 30, 2015, Minsk hosts a unique exhibition of Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso. The exhibition of authentic sculpture, ceramic, and graphic and lithograph artworks by Dali and Picasso is held in the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus.

The collection is provided by Alexander Shadrin, a Russian collector and patron of arts, who has been purchasing the works of famous Spanish artists around the world for 15 years.

The Dali exhibition in Belarus features famous sculptures Horse saddled with time, Venus de Milo with drawers, Homage to Newton, and Lobster telephone. The visitors also have a possibility to see a lot of ceramics and numerous graphic series, including Japanese fairy tales and Angels.

The Pablo Picasso’s collection is much smaller and features 30 ceramic artworks from the former collection of the famous Ramie family.

In addition, the museum shows film excursions on two screens continuously. In the film, Shadrin tells the story of the collection, explains conceptions of two great Spanish artists, and reminds details of their bright biographies.
