National Art Museum of Belarus Showcases Da Vinci Inventions

Exhibition of Da Vinci inventions opens in Minsk, BelarusOn March 1, 2015, the exhibition The Da Vinci Inventions opened in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus.

The traveling exhibition dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci presents Leonardo as an inventor, artist, scientist, anatomist, engineer, architect, sculptor and philosopher. The exhibition is created by Grande Exhibitions (Australia) in cooperation with Il Genio di Leonardo da Vinci Museo (Italy).

The show presents around 200 exhibits. All exhibited items were created by Italian artisans using the techniques of the Renaissance era and in accurate accordance with the codices of Leonardo da Vinci. The experts studied more than six thousand pages of Da Vinci’s manuscripts and deciphered his codes, mirror writing, and deliberate mistakes that he used to keep his inventions secret.

The show The Da Vinci Inventions is suitable for all ages, provides an insight into the fundamental scientific and artistic principles that he discovered. Since its launch in 2006, millions of visitors around the world have explored interactive and life–size machine inventions. Belarus is the 46th country, which is proud to showcase the inventions of the great genius. The works displayed in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus include an armored fighting vehicle, scuba, bicycle, aircraft, parachute, submarine, and ideal city of 15th century vintage.

The Da Vinci Inventions also features a 3D display of Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Vitruvian Man, and Leonardo’s Horse.
