Watercolor Exhibition in Minsk

On July 23, a new watercolor solo exhibition opened at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk. The exhibition titled My Flower Calendar shows the works of Natalia Marchenko, a Belarusian artist. It consists of watercolor paintings from the collection of the author, as well as from the Bobruisk Art Museum. The My Flower Calendar exhibition is held from July 23 to August 24, 2015.

According to the critics, the works of Natalia Marchenko are full of independent creative thinking, emotionality, and liveliness of perception. Her paintings subtly convey the mood and image, and distinguish a clear compositional structure. Natalia gives much attention to finding her own visual language – textured effects, nuances of color in oil and watercolor painting, and experiments in easel graphics.

In her works, Marchenko appears as an interesting and original master of watercolors, a talented colorist, and opens a new edge of her skills to the audience. The artist finds a new musical rhythm of color combinations in every painting. She combines the elements of landscape and still life, impressionism, realism, and abstract forms.

Natalia Marchenko was born on November 11, 1970 in Minsk. Her parents are Leonid Marchenko, a famous graphic artist, and Nina Marchenko, an art critic. Natalia graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts in 1998. Since 1999 she has been a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists.

Over the years, Marchenko has had solo exhibitions in a number of countries, including Poland and Denmark.  Her paintings can be found at different museums, as well as private collections in Belarus, Poland, Germany, Denmark, and the United States.
